About Union Mutual Fund
Union Mutual Fund was set up in 2009 as a joint venture between Union Bank of India and KBC Asset Management of Belgium.
However, in 2016, the KBC Asset Management Company exited the agreement, and the Union Bank bought its stake.
Next year, Dai-ichi, a financial services company in Japan, bought a 39.62% stake in the company.
The company serves multiple categories of investors, majorly HNIs, corporate, and retail.
Currently, it offers 26 mutual fund schemes, of which 11 are equity schemes, 8 are debt schemes, and 7 are hybrid schemes.
As of January 2025, the fund managed Rs. 19,784 crores worth of investment. The top schemes offered by the fund house are the Union Liquid Fund, the Union Flexi Cap Fund, and the Union Small Cap Fund.
