SBI Mutual Fund was established on 29 June 1987 as a Trust with State Bank of India (SBI) as the sponsor and SBI Mutual Fund Trustee Company Private Limited as the Trustee. It registered with SEBI on 23 Dec 1993. SBI and AMUNDI Asset Management formed a joint venture on April 13, 2011. Today, the fund firm offers equity, debt, hybrid, and other mutual funds. SBI Mutual Fund had 10,91,721 crores AUM on August 2024. It has 17.11% industry of AUM. SBI owns 63% of SBI Funds Management Pvt Ltd. The remaining 37% is owned by AMUNDI Asset Management's wholly-owned subsidiary Amundi India Holding. SBI Mutual Fund includes 72 main schemes. AMC offers 37 equity, 22 debt, 11 hybrid, and 2 gold funds. SBI Nifty 50 ETF, SBI S&P BSE Sensex ETF, and SBI Equity Hybrid Fund are its main schemes.
